Afolabi Oladele, a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the NigerianAcademy of Engineers holds a Bsc. In Chemical Engineering from the Universityof Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University), a Post-Graduate Certificate in Petroleum Economics from the French Petroleum Institute (FPI), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Energy Modeling and Large Scale Planning Systems fromthe University of Southern California and several other certifications fromreputable foreign institutions.
He is a Director in African Capital Alliance (ACA), a leading independent equityfirm investing in West Africa with over US$1billion in aggregate capitalcommitments and has spent the last fourteen years in private equity practice.
Prior to joining ACA, Afolabi Oladele garnered about twenty four yearsprofessional experience in the Oil & Gas industry spending most of his careerwith the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) where he served invarious capacities culminating in his appointment as Group Executive Directorfor Downstream Operations in 1995.While employed with the NNPC, he wasat various times seconded to the Organization of the Petroleum ExportingCompanies (OPEC), Mobil USA and Total France.
